About

          ƒrançois Vogel is a French artist and filmmaker born in 1971 in Meudon (France). He creates short films, video installations, and photographs. His work explores spatial and spatiotemporal distortion by combining bold optical captures and digital tools to create surreal works. His empirical approach humorously and poetically questions the connections between individuals, their environment, and time.

          In the early 1990s, François Vogel collaborated on visual effects for films. Recognised internationally, he was sought after as a director by numerous production companies in the United States for his talent in creating poetic worlds and inventing innovative visual effects processes. Simultaneously, he developed an eclectic artistic practice in the field of visual arts, which he presented at international art festivals. His works (photographs, experimental films, interactive installations) were exhibited and broadcasted in cultural institutions in France and abroad and are part of the collections of national museums and private collections (Centre des Arts d’Enghien-les-Bains, Musée des Beaux-Arts et d’Archéologie Joseph Déchelette, Villa Balthazar de Valence, Yuki Terrace de Sapporo, Soho House in Los Angeles...).
